My recent works are serigraphs based on Hobo Symbols. I have been studying the signs and symbols that Hobos used to communicate with each other. They were used to inform other “travelers” what to expect when they got to a new town. For example, these are symbols for ‘A Kind-Hearted Woman’; ‘Man with Gun’; and ‘Work for Food’. I use these symbols as an inspiration for the images in my prints.
